NATIONAL FLAG OF INDI
1.No nation can do without a national flag it is a mark of pride and identity

4.First National Flag : - It was Hoisted on 7th August 1906 in Green park Calcutta it had strip of 3 colors.
5.Top Strip :- It was Green in color Strip with 8 lotuses White in colors.
6.Middle Strip : - It was Yellow in Color with Vandemataram written in devnageri script.
7.Bottom Strip : - It was in Red in color with Sun in White on Left and Cresent moon with a start on Right.

National Flag : -
1.This was made in 1921 by Pingal Venkayah He
handed over the flag to Gandhi ji in
Indian National Congress Meet .
2. There were few changes suggested by Gandhi Ji
and was used for all future occasion of congress but was not accepted by ATCC
officially .

Was White in color and represented all the country other that Hindu and Muslim

Was Green in co0lor and are represented Muslim.

1. On July 22 1947 constituent assembly
adopted a new flag as free Indians National Flag

Sarnath called as Dharma Chakra it has 24 spokes.
3. The Diameter of Chakra it has 24

4. The Diameter of Chakra is approximately equal to the width of White in
a white band in the Middle.

EVOLUTION OF INDIAN FLAG
FIRST
NATIONAL FLAG 1906
1.the flag was consisting of three equal
horizontal strips of green yellow and red.
2.in the top green colour
strip there were eight white lotuses shown in a row, which represented eight
states of that time.
3.on middle yellow strip the word ‘VandeMataram’ was
written in dark blue colour in Devanagiri
script.
4.The lowest red strip had a white sun in
the left and a white crescent moon with a star in the right side.
5.The
first national flag of India had been unfurled on august 7,1906

Second Flag
1.It
was tri coloured and was made under
the guidance of mahatma Gandhi during the meeting of all India congress party
at Vijayvada.
2 Pingali venkaiyya
designed two colored flags and handed over to Gandhi ji
which was made in red and green colour that represented two major communities
Hindu and Muslims in country.
3.Gandhi
ji
suggested to add one white strip as a symbol of the rest of Indian communities
and put a dark blue charkha in its center as a symbol of progress. It was
second national flag of 1921.

1. Finally, a new flag was hoisted which was
adopted as a national flag of independent India by constituent Assembly with
some changes
in
the middle portion
of the flag.
2 This tri color flag had
saffron colour at
the top, white on the middle and green as its lowest band.
3. All the three colors band are
of equal
size.
4. Dharma chakra also
known as Ashoka
Chakra of Sarnath
pillar is in
navy
blue colour and
has replaced the charkha of the previous flag.
5. Its length to breadth ratio is 3:2.
6. There are 24 spokes
of Dharma
chakra
which representats 24 hours
of the day.

the Indian artist to arouse the feeling of freedom
struggle.
A Bharat Mata by Abandrinath Tagore

a.It showed his nationalist outlook and his
idea of bharat.His Bahrat mata was
an originator of roti-kapada-makaan theme
of later india.It
reflected the growing Swadeshi
Movement
of India.
B. Amrita
Shergil version of Bharat Mata –
a. painted a realistic image of
critical and very down to earth mother india.
b.She
painted bharat mata as a
poor peasant women with her children, a boy in her lap
and a girl by her side.
c.The
essence of her theme is poverty of rural india
C. Purna Ghaosh Mother India –
a.painted bharat mata
based on song where mother land is referred to as “ Bharat Janani”, who rises
from blue seas and has Himalayas as her crowning glory.
D .NAND LAL BOSE – Painted
the portraits of national leaders and Swaraj movement.To mark

– made
